Sales Director (m/w/d) Korea

Executive Leadership Role in Industrial Automation

Our client is an internationally active, family-owned technology group with a strong focus on industrial automation and advanced technical solutions for manufacturing industries. The company operates globally with a multi-billion-euro revenue base and stands for innovation, engineering excellence and long-term strategic orientation. The Korean subsidiary represents a well-established and strategically important growth market with strong exposure to semiconductor, automotive, and high-tech manufacturing sectors.

The task

  • Full P&L responsibility for the Korean sales organization, ensuring achievement of revenue, margin and cost targets
  • Development and consistent execution of a mid- to long-term sales strategy aligned with regional and global objectives, with clear focus on semiconductor and automotive growth segments
  • Leadership, coaching and further professionalization of an 80-person sales organization, including four direct reports, with emphasis on performance, accountability and succession planning
  • Implementation and monitoring of structured sales planning, forecasting and KPI-based performance management systems
  • Systematic development of key account management, customer segmentation and channel structures to increase market share and profitability
  • Strengthening consultative, solution-oriented selling in close cooperation with engineering and technical functions to drive sustainable customer partnerships


Your profile

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline; solid technical understanding of industrial automation technologies
  • Minimum 8 years of sales experience in industrial automation, including at least 5 years of leadership responsibility for larger sales teams
  • Demonstrated success in implementing structured sales strategies, performance management systems and scalable sales processes
  • Strong exposure to semiconductor and/or automotive industries with understanding of complex, technical and consultative sales cycles
  • Proven financial and analytical competence, including forecasting, budgeting and full P&L responsibility
  • Leadership personality with strategic mindset and strong execution capability; high resilience, intercultural competence and fluency in Korean and English
